Costa Rica border crossing

Our journey to Costa Rica started at around 8 in the morning, we were taking chicken buses and Amy planned everything again. When you calculate the amount of time it should take you to get places it’s safe to say double it and that’s more likely your travel time. The local buses are just yellow school buses, nothing special but they jam pack them with people. They usually cost just a buck or two and they take you a good distance. The border crossing was the longest I’ve had all trip but still wasn’t that bad… We didn’t have proof of onward travel so when we got there they made us buy a bus ticket out just to prove we weren’t gonna stay forever. A few more buses and picking up a traveller along the way we finally made it to playa del coco.
