Back at it

The fire season is over and with that comes another off season of travelling
This time around my friend Mack Stobart is joining me, we’ve been friends since we were 12 and I think we’ll have no problems travelling together.
Our flights down to peru were long and exhausting and when we did finally arrive in lima it was midnight on a Wednesday so we just checked out the city and had some beers.
The next day was nice and chill, we checked out the beach and other areas of town, lima is cloudy 80% of the year so it was rare when we got a glimpse of the sun. That night as mack and I were enjoying some drinks at our hostel a British guy, Chris came and talked to us. we ended up hanging out with him all night as he would share crazy stories of when he used to live peru and also his past travels, he was a very interesting guy but we’d have to say goodbye because he was heading to the jungle and we were following the coast. We had a little bit of a scare when we switched hostels on saturday… mack misplaced his passport for 15 minutes. The weekend included a chocolate making, meeting new people, enjoying some new tasty Peruvian cusine and getting into the travel routine because we have around 5 more months. We are currently on the bus heading south to paracas and eventually to huacachina. I’ll try and do a better job than last trip updating this blog. For now that is just a quick update, mack and I are having a great time and we are definitely not missing winter back home!
